Dear Parents and Students, The Lamar
County School System recognizes that the children of Lamar County are our
greatest assets. With that fact in mind, we seek to provide these children with
educational tools that will help them meet their needs in the future and help them become productive citizens in our society. Our children arrive at school with diverse backgrounds and ability levels. This diversity often stretches the resources of our system, but it is our mission to provide for the needs
of all children who attend our schools. Historically, Lamar County citizens
have placed great importance on education. Today, education is more important
than ever and needs community commitment and support in order for our schools and county to prosper. We look forward to working with our students, parents, and patrons as we seek to
