TO:  Vendors FROM: Lamar County Schools DATE: January 28, 2010

RE:  Quotes – ALJP State Master Contract  We are seeking quotes for HP G5 servers and Cisco switches, components, and installation services to be purchased off of the Alabama Joint Purchasing Agreement (ALJP) 2009-2010 state master contract for the purpose of upgrading our schools and to file for E-Rate funding for the 2010 Funding Year.  Only vendors who meet the specified criteria should plan to bid.  If you are interested in providing Lamar County School District with the requested quotes and are able to provide a combined solution you, will need to provide pricing based on the attached Bill of Materials.  Each vendor must provide the following in their bid to be considered for qualification: 

• Five Alabama K-12 references
• E-Rate Spin Number
• List of Cisco company specializations and certifications
• Proof of at least $750,000 funded Internal Connections E-rate business with Schools in Alabama since 2006

 

All quotes must be provided in Item 21 format, ready for E-rate filing, clearly identifying any equipment or portions ineligible for E-rate funding, and may be submitted via email or delivery to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. on February 9th, 2010.   All quote information must be separated and clearly labeled for each school or non-instructional facility. Quotes/Item 21s received after this time or that are not ready for E-rate filing will not be accepted.  Quotes must remain valid until a decision on the E-rate funding request is rendered or the vendor is informed that we do not intend to proceed with the purchase.

 

After February 9^th , 2010 Lamar County School District will select a single vendor that is able to best meet the district’s needs and able to provide a combined solution from the ALJP 2009-2010 contract for the requested Cisco equipment/components, and installation services. Evaluation criteria that may be used to select a vendor are:  Price, technical expertise, experience, management plan, ability to meet our requirements, etc.
